Mark Carroll is the Founder and CEO of INTEGRIT Risk Services, a nationwide investigative and risk management firm headquartered in Texas. Born and raised in Dallas, Carroll brings more than four decades of experience in intelligence operations, private investigations, insurance claims investigations, and specialized risk management.
Early in his career, Carroll was attached to a branch of U.S. intelligence, serving on three continents for five years. Following his detachment, he joined Pinkerton’s International in 1978 as an undercover operative. One of his early assignments involved infiltrating an asbestos manufacturing facility in Texas, investigative work that contributed to the initial litigation of asbestos claims brought by Baron & Budd and other firms. Those early investigations laid the groundwork for cases that resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars in damages and sparked decades of litigation over asbestos.
In 1980, Carroll co-founded Carroll Investigations and Security Co., laying the foundation for more than 44 years of continuous investigative operations. After selling the company in 1988, he pursued advanced medical education and spent nearly two decades in clinical practice while also serving as a full-time faculty professor in nursing and respiratory therapy programs from 2005 to 2010. During this period, he also developed specialized undercover investigative operations within healthcare systems, conducting investigative assignments nationwide.
Returning to full-time investigative operations, Carroll founded Carroll & Associates in 2010, focusing on insurance and claims investigations. In 2021, the firm was rebranded as INTEGRIT Risk Services, which now provides nationwide investigative coverage through a network of licensed investigators across all 50 states.
Carroll is the author and instructor of the “Surveillance Survival Series,” a comprehensive three-day training program focused on surveillance methodology and covert intelligence gathering tailored to the needs of insurance and claims professionals. For more than 25 years, he has provided continuing education and professional training to investigators, insurance professionals, attorneys, and medical personnel across the United States.
A recognized leader within the investigative profession, Carroll has served as Region 1 Board Director of the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators and Chair of its Unlicensed Activity Committee and maintains membership in the California Association of Licensed Investigators and the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators. Through conference presentations and continuing education programs nationwide, he has dedicated significant effort to advancing professional standards and enhancing the investigative industry’s reputation.
Following two years of research, Carroll has developed the foundation for a forthcoming textbook, “Mexico Investigations,” examining investigative operations and methodologies in Mexico. A synopsis of this work will be presented at the 2026 Fraternal Order of Investigators Seminar in Kerrville, Texas, on March 28, 2026.
